A top diplomat at the US embassy in Beijing, David Rank, has stepped down, apparently because he disagreed with President Donald Trump’s climate change policy.
US media outlets say, he resigned over Mr Trump’s controversial announcement last week that the US is withdrawing from the Paris agreement. The embassy told the BBC that it is Mr Rank’s personal decision.
