Heat wave conditions threw life out of gear in most of the towns in Odisha with 13 towns recording day temperature over 40 degrees Celsius yesterday.

Bolangir in Western Odisha remained the hottest town of this season with 44.2 degrees Celsius.

While the entire western region of Odisha sizzled under intense heat, Met department warned that heat wave conditions are likely to prevail in some parts of interior Odisha as well during the next 48 hours. With the mercury soaring, people had a difficult time venturing out in the sweltering heat.
