Congress, RJD and NCP today staged a brief walkout from the Lok Sabha protesting against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s yesterday’s remarks against former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh.
As soon as Zero Hour started, Congress leader Malliarjun Kharge raised the issue and demanded Mr. Modi’s apology. Speaker Sumitra Mahajan objected to it saying the issue is related to the Rajya Sabha and it cannot be raised here.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar also said such matter cannot be raised in this House. Not satisfied with it, the members trooped into the well and started sloganeering and later walked out.
