Prime Minister and BJP leader Narendra Modi today said, a stable, capable and reliable government in Punjab was necessary for the security of the country when a belligerent state like Pakistan is sharing border with Punjab.
Addressing an election rally in Kotkapura of Faridkot district, Mr Modi said, Shiromani Akali Dal-BJP Alliance government is necessary in Punjab for internal security of the country.
He said people should not vote for parties who are eyeing to form the government for their vested interests.
He said, Pakistan is always alert to exploit the situation and eager to stoke trouble in India whenever there is a weak government in Punjab.
Mr Modi said, the state is safe in the hands of Shiromani Akali Dal-BJP Alliance government.
He assured that by 2022 income of farmers will be double in the country. He promised that Punjab’s rights on its water will be maintained.
He also mentioned about several schemes of central Government for farmers.
Mr Modi blamed Congress for always playing the game of divide and rule. He said, another party AAP has defamed Punjab in the name of drugs.
Mr Modi appealed the voters of Punjab to vote in favor of SAD-BJP alliance Government for the overall development of the state.
Punjab Chief Minister Parkash singh Badal, Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal and Union minister for food processing Harsimrat Badal also addressed the rally.
