The Madras high Court has struck down the appointment of 11 members to the State Public Service Commission and their nomination has been challenged in the court in a batch of petitions saying due process of selection have not been followed.
It was alleged that most of the nominees were advocates owing allegiance to the ruling party who lacked administrative experience. After hearing the petitions, the first bench headed by Chief Justice Sanjay Kishen Kaul struck down the offers of appointment.
