Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that fields of farmers must have adequate water that belongs to India and assured farmers their right over the water that flows through Indus adding that he will strive to have that water back. He was speaking after laying foundation stone of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Bhatinda. Mr. Modi said that he is more concerned about the welfare of the farmers. He said that black money and corruption have affected the middle class and deprived poor of their rights.
People of Malwa region of Punjab can avail super specialty treatment of all major diseases in this medical institute. People had to visit PGI Chandigarh and Delhi for treatment of cancer. This will also benefit people from adjacent states of Haryana and Rajasthan. Besides, the medical students aspiring for MBBS, BDS, PG and other super-specialization courses will be benefited once the medical institute is established.
