Curfew has been extended to entire Srinagar and Pulwama districts while south Kashmir towns of Shopian, Anantnag and north Kashmir towns of Baramulla, Pattan and Handwara have also been placed under curfew.

Elaborate security arrangements have been made in view of the separatists’ call for “Eidgah March” and holding Friday congregational prayers at old city’s Eidgah.

The restrictions under Sec 144 on assembly of people were in force in rest of the Valley.

The night curfew remains imposed in Srinagar for the past week.

Similar restrictions on the movement of people, public and goods transport during late evening and night hours remains in force in north Kashmir’s Sopore, Baramulla, Bandipora and Kupwara areas.
