Only 5% people disturbing peace in Kashmir: Mehbooba

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh once again appealed to the disgruntled people of Kashmir not to play with the future of the youths of the state. He said that majority of people in the valley want peace. The Minister said that dialogue within the framework of the constitution is the only way to find a solution.
Addressing a joint press conference with Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti in Srinagar today, Mr Singh said, he met more than 300 people since yesterday and all of them are in favour of maintaining peace in the valley. He added that the future of the nation is linked with the future of Kashmir.
The Home Minister said that forces have been asked to maintain maximum restraint and identify the elements trying to create unrest. Mr Singh said, he wants an all-party delegation from New Delhi to visit soon the state to find a solution of the current situation.
Replying to a question on using pellet guns by the security forces, he said that the expert committee will submit the report within a few days and an alternative will come up soon.
The Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti said, there are only 5 per cent of people, who are disturbing peace and instigating violence in the Valley. She maintained that 95 per cent are innocent and they want to live in peace but are suffering due to a section of selfish elements
