Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today made an aerial survey of the flood-affected areas of the state. Mr Kumar visited the worst affected Katihar, Kishanganj and Araria and took stock of relief and rescue operations.
According to Central Water Commission, water level of various rivers including Kosi, Bagmati and Gandak is increasing. New areas of Darbhanga, Sitamarhi and West Champaran have been inundated. NDRF teams have been engaged in the affected areas to shift people to safer places.
