China has expressed concern over South Korean decision to deploy an advanced US missile defence system. Talking to reporters, ahead of a meeting with his South Korean counterpart in Vientiane, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said, South Korea has damaged mutual trust with its planned deployment of the missile defence system.
Meanwhile, South Korean Foreign Minister Yun Byung-Se has said deployment of the missile system is purely defensive and poses no threat to China’s security interests.
