Heat waves continues to wreak havoc in many parts of India. According to IMD, at least 8 states are facing heat-wave conditions.

In Odisha and Telangana, mercury is crossing the 45 degree mark at some places. Meanwhile Central and peninsular India continued to witness the hottest April in recent years.

In Bankura in West Bengal, highest temperature reached 46 degree Celsius on Saturday. While North Indian hill town Shimla has recorded the highest temperature of the present summer season. It was recorded a temp of 26. 8 degree Celsius.

Meanwhile, hailstorm has lashed many parts of Assam and the Met Department has predicted some relief from heat within the next 48 hours in North-Western states.
