A special prevention of Terrorism Act (POTA) court has convicted 10 accused and acquitted 3 suspects namely Nadeem Paloba, Harun Lohar and Adnan Mulla in the 2002-3 Mumbai blast case.
The blasts at mulund, Mumbai central and vile parle took place between december 2002 and march 2003. The court will pronounce the quantum of sentence for the convicted tomorrow.
Within short span of three moths, three blast had occured in different part of Mumbai.
The first blast happened at McDonald’s restaurant on the main building premises of the Mumbai Central railway station on December 6, 2002.
The second blast took place on January 27, 2003, in a crowded market in Vile Parle East, while the third blast occurred in a jam-packed Karjat-bound local train at the Mulund railway station on March 13, 2003.
