Crime branch in Ahmedabad has filed FIR against Patidar community leader Hardik Patel and five others under serious charges of sedition. The FIR says that the young quota leader had allegedly instigated his community to adopt violent means to “wage war” against Gujarat government. The probe agency has put transcripts of various telephonic conversations and speeches of Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti – PASS members and its convener Hardik Patel- wherein they had allegedly instigated the agitators of their community to wage war against the state government.
The complaint against these Patidar leaders have been filed in connection with violence incidents that broke out in the state during 25 and 26 August after the Maha rally addressed by Hardik Patel in Ahmedabad. ACP Ahmedabad Crime Branch- K.N.Patel has said that the conversation made by some members of the core committee of PAAS and the agitators clearly shows that they had been instigating Patel community.
The city crime branch had filed sedition case against Hardik and five others yesterday under various sections, for promoting enmity between different communities and for assertions prejudicial to national integrity. Others who have been charged include Chirag Patel, Dinesh Patel, Ketan Patel, Amrish Patel and Alepsh Kathiria– all are members of Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti. Hardik Patel who was arrested before India- South Africa cricket match in Rajkot last Sunday, is in Surat Police remand till this evening.
