Congress Party today asked the NDA government to take tangible action against elements and forces responsible for vandalism and rising intolerance in the country.
Briefing reporters in New Delhi, party spokesperson Anand Sharma said party is not satisfied with Finance Minister Arun Jaitley’s statement condemning hooliganism and vandalism.
He said NDA government must not only condemn such acts, but also take concrete action.
Mr Sharma said Congress will take initiative in bringing together all secular, democratic and progressive forces in the backdrop of continued assault on institutions.
