Three terrorists were killed and an army officer injured in an encounter between security forces and terrorists in north Kashmir’s Handwara area in Kupwara district in Jammu & Kashmir,.
An Army spokesman in Srinagar said that a group of 4 to 6 militants was intercepted on a tip off in Kramoora Zachaldara forested area of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district late last night. The area is around 98 Kms in the north of Srinagar headquarters. Three militants were killed in the ensuing encounter. One army officer was also injured. Bodies of three unidentified militants have been recovered. Army spokesman said the cordon and search operation is in progress.
