Dhanteras is being celebrated today. This festival, which falls just before Diwali, is considered a symbol of wealth, good health, and prosperity. On Dhanteras, devotees worship Lord Dhanvantari, Goddess Lakshmi, and Lord Kuber. According to popular belief, performing puja and making purchases during the auspicious hours on this day brings happiness, wealth, and prosperity to the household. People mostly buying gold, silver, utensils, vehicles, and other new items is a long-standing tradition on Dhanteras.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended greetings to the people on the occasion of Dhanteras today. In a social media post, Mr Modi expressed hope that the divine grace of Lord Dhanvantari illuminate everyone’s life with happiness, peace, and excellent health. He wished that an eternal flame of joy and enthusiasm continues to shine in every household.
