External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar today met the Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in Mumbai.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Jaishankar said that this year, despite global headwinds and regional challenges, our economic partnership continues to set new benchmarks.
He also informed that bilateral trade has crossed the 100 billion US dollars mark since the signing of the CEPA. He further said that two-way investments continue to grow, reflecting the confidence of our businesses in each other’s economies. Dr Jaishankar said that cooperation in defence and energy technology is acquiring a strategic character, adding that the people-to-people ties continue to enrich the lives of our communities.
