Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Saturday inaugurated the three-day Unnat Krishi Mahotsav at Dashehra Maidan in Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh. The festival running from 11th to 13th April, features live demonstrations of modern technologies including drones, solar pumps, and micro irrigation. Experts will interact directly with farmers on 20 topics across four seminar halls, covering subjects ranging from the use of AI in agriculture to integrated farming.
Over 300 exhibitors are participating in the festival and more than 50 thousand farmers are expected to attend. The closing ceremony will be held on 13th April in the presence of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. The national-level festival, organised on the initiative of Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, was also attended by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Director General of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), along with agricultural scientists from across the country.
