US Democratic presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton has said that the United States and India need to fight violence, terrorism and poverty together. In her remarks to a delegation led by Jain leader Acharya, Lokesh Muni, Ms. Clinton said in future India will play a larger role on the international platform. Noting that violence and terrorism cannot solve any issues, Ms. Clinton said problems can be solved through dialogues and discussions.
The delegation among others included international coordinator of Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti Karamjit Singh Dhaliwal, Congressman Joe Crowley and Congress woman Grace Meng. According to a statement, she aiso said that religious leaders can play a vital role in making the world a better place to live in. Ms. Clinton is seeking a Democratic presidential nomination to run for the White House in 2016. If elected, she would be the first woman president of the United States.
