India and Argentina today signed the Work Plan 2025-27 in New Delhi to boost bilateral agricultural research and technology exchange. Signed between the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA), Argentina, this work plan establishes collaboration across natural resource management, sustainable agronomy, including zero tillage, mechanisation, micro-irrigation and fertigation.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare said that the agreement will also include germplasm exchange, expert engagements, and training in cutting-edge agricultural technologies. It added that India and Argentina are deepening cooperation in oilseeds and pulses value chains, agricultural mechanisation, including cotton harvesting machinery and drones.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to the India-Argentina scientific partnership and agreed to annual monitoring and review to ensure effective implementation and progress of this collaboration.
