Israel has delayed a cabinet vote on the Gaza ceasefire and hostage deal, blaming Hamas for reneging on parts of the agreement. However, Hamas has denied the accusation and said it is committed to the truce. The deal, scheduled to be implemented on Sunday, outlines a six-week initial ceasefire with the gradual withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip. Hostages taken by Hamas would be freed in exchange for Palestinian prisoners detained by Israel. Meanwhile, Gaza’s civil defence agency has said at least 70 people have been killed in Israeli strikes since a ceasefire deal was announced.
