Uttar Pradesh is leading the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, being run on the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Giving this information on a social media post, Union Forest and Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav said that more than 80.84 crore saplings have been planted under this campaign in the entire country, while around 26.5 crore saplings were planted in Uttar Pradesh only. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his gratitude on this and congratulated everyone.
Earlier, under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, 36.51 crore saplings were planted in a single day on July 20 under the ‘Plant Trees, Save Trees Public Campaign-2024’.
