The murder reflects law and order situation in state , says opposition

A journalist in Araria district of Bihar was shot dead by some unidentified men on Friday. The incident caused a massive uproar at the post-mortem site following the murder.
A journalist was killed early this morning after some unidentified men walked into his home and opened fire.
The victim, identified as Bimal Yadav, was employed at Dainik Jagran. He was shot in the chest by four people who arrived at his residence in Raniganj.
Yadav died on the spot. The FSL team is at the spot, deceased’s body was taken for post-mortem. Efforts are underway to nab the accused,” says Ashok Kumar Singh, SP, Araria.
The accused had also murdered Vimal Yadav’s brother in 2009. Vimal was the sole witness in that case and according to information, there was pressure to change his testimony.
Bihar Additional Director General Police ADG (HQ) JS Gangwar said, “As per the local inputs, he was shot dead around 4.30 am by armed assailants outside his residence in Raniganj locality of the district. Dog squad and FSL pressed into service. As per the kin, Vimal Yadav’s brother was murdered in 2019, and Vimal’s murder too has been done in the same sequence. Araria SP has been instructed.”
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also expressed his grief over the incident. He said, “It’s an unfortunate incident. I have ordered the officials to take immediate action soon after receiving the news”.
