NEW DELHI: Assam Governor and octogenarian leader JB Patnaik who was admitted at All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) Wednesday is likely to undergo operation Thursday.
Doctors attending on him have said that after the report of CT Scan later today the decision will be taken. Patnaik had sustained injuries in his legs and hands at Dibrugarh. He was flown into the Capital late last night in a special Indian Air Force flight. He was driven straight to AIIMS where he was admitted at around 1.30 am, informed hospital sources.
Patnaik underwent host of medical tests today, while doctors were closely monitoring his vital health parameters. Governor’s close relatives including his son-in-law and former MP, Somyaranjan Patnaik were with him, even as host of well wishers rushed to AIIMS. Only two congress leader Mr. Sanjay Bohi and Mr Amarnath Pradhan today called on him.
