NEW DELHI: Treading a cautious path on Babri Masjid verdict, the All India Muslim Personal Law Board’s legal committee on Saturday did no disclose its observation on the judgment. It has decided to take the matter before the working committee of the Board.
At a meeting held here the legal cell thoroughly examined all aspect of the verdict and decided to refer the matter to the Board president, Maulana Rabey Nadvi, who has called a meeting of working committee of the Board on October 16.
Meanwhile the legal cell of the Board has found immense anomalies in the Allahabad high court verdict on Babri Masjid-Ramjanbhomi dispute and has outlined its view on the judgment.
The meeting was presided over by the assistant general secretary of the Board Maulana Abdul Rahim Qureshi. Other who attended the meet includes Syed Shahabuddin, Asaduddin Owaisi, Shakil Ahmad ,Mushtaq Ahmad, Niyaz Farooqi, Kamal Farooqi, Yusuf Hatim Muchala and others. Muchala is the convenor of the legal cell.
Later at a press conference Maulana Abdul Rahim Qureshi said that the working committee of the Board would decide on whether the Supreme court would be approach against the high court verdict or not. “We have studied and examined all aspect of the verdict and formed a view which would be referred the president of the board” he said, adding the president would discuss the view in the working committee on October 16.
