PATNA: Following direction from Election Commission, the state government in Bihar has launched a massive operation to ensure free and fair polls. The Commission has directed the Bihar government to speed up the execution of the pending non-bailable warrants. Director General of Police Neelmani said that over 45 thousand non-bailable warrants are still pending.
Over two lakh 25 thousand persons have been identified as trouble makers. A close watch is being kept on their ongoing as they can influence the election process. Forty thousand miscreants have also been identified.
13 illegal arms manufacturing units have been unearthed and over ten thousand cartridges have been seized during raids.
Altogether eleven hundred cases of violation of model code of conduct have so far been received.
Most of the cases are under defacement of property act.FIRs have been registered in 533 cases so far.
