The Election Commission in association with various Government departments has organised a ‘Walk towards your polling booth’ campaign in over 58000 polling booths in Karnataka today. The programme aims at creating awareness among the voters about the significance of voting in the May 10 Assembly election.

As the polling date draws closer, the Election Commission along with various Government agencies will organise a ‘Walk towards your polling booth’ campaign across the state today. This is done to improve electoral participation in the May 10 Assembly election in Karnataka. The walk towards the polling booth will commence at 8.00 am today simultaneously across the state. The Festival of Democracy-May 10 polling Day will be the theme of the campaign. Cultural troupes and folk artists will participate in the Walk to give it a look of a festival. The block level officials, electoral officers, Gram Panchayat PDOs, and Taluk level officials will participate in the campaign by walking towards the respective polling booths. The campaign vehicles with LED display screens will be part of the event. The public will be told about Know Your Candidates app, cVigil app, Chunavana app and Saksham app and 1950 helpline.
