The first session of newly elected Gujarat assembly will commence on December 19. The two-day session will begin with the protem speaker administering the oath to all the newly elected MLAs. Our correspondent reports that senior most BJP legislator from Manjalpur seat of Vadodara city Yogesh Patel was appointed as Protem Speaker of the Assembly by Governor Acharya Devvrat yesterday. The speaker of the House will be elected on December 20 following which the Governor will address the House.
