Three militants were neutralised by security forces in an encounter which broke out in Waterhail area of central Budgam district early this morning.
The gunbattle erupted after security forces were fired upon by terrorists who had laid a cordon and launched searches in the area following an intelligence input about the presence of terrorists in the area.
The identification of the terrorists killed in the operation yet to be ascertained. Incriminating materials including arms and ammunition have been recovered from the encounter site.
