Teams deployed in Odisha, Andhra Pradesh for relief & rescue operations

The Cyclonic storm Gulab has weakened into a depression, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said yesterday.

The IMD in a tweet said that deep depression weakened into a depression at 1730 hrs last evening and lay centred over North Telangana and adjoining South Chhatisgarh & Vidarbha.

Earlier, Referring to the IMD’s cyclone alert in Andhra Pradesh and Odisha, Director General of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) Satya Narayan Pradhan informed that 13 teams had been deployed in Odisha and five in Andhra Pradesh for the relief and rescue operations.
