Indian star Shuttler PV Sindhu today secured a bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympic, defeating China’s He Bing Jiao in straight-game 21-13 and 21-15 in Women’s Single’s.
With the victory, the Rio Olympic medalist, Sindhu has become first Indian to bag medals in the two consecutive Olympics in the individual capacity. Earlier the Indian Shutller won the silver medal in Rio Olympic in 2016.
In Men’s hockey, the quarter final match India BEAT Great Britain BY 3-1 and stormed into semi final.
Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Anurag Thakur has congratulated ace shuttler P V Sindhu for winning Bronze medal in Tokyo Olympics. In a tweet, Mr Thakur said, Sindhu dominated the game and made history. She becomes the first Indian women to win two individual medals at the Olympics. He said, India is proud of PV Sindhu.
