A moderate earthquake struck the Ladakh region on Friday evening, authorities confirmed.
The earthquake of a magnitude of 4.5 on the Richter scale struck at around 8.15 pm on Friday.
The exact location of the epicentre was reported as 36.00′ N and 74.82′ E.
Releasing a statement, the National Centre of Seismology said, “An earthquake of magnitude 4.5 on the Richter scale hit 200 km north-west of Kargil, Ladakh.”
