The Anti-Terrorist Squad of Gujarat Police has recovered 54 illegal weapons including 15 imported pistols and revolvers from various places. According to sources, the ATS has detained nine persons in this connection.
Acting on a tip off that Wahid Khan Pathan and Mushtak Baloch holding the possession of illegal weapons, both were nabbed from ISKCON bridge of Ahmedabad city. One pistol and one revolver recovered from Mushtak while one pistol recovered from Wahid.
After the primary interrogation of the duo, Kutch Police arrested Tarun Gupta of Tarun Gun House. ATS also raided several places in Wankaner, Chotila, Jamnagar and Amreli and recovered more illegal weapons.
According to police, Mushkat Baloch is from Wankaner and involved in various offenses including section 307 and arms act. Police said that the total value of seized weapons is 85 lakh rupees.
