CBI has registered a case against former Uttarakhand Chief Minister, Harish Rawat and others in connection with a sting operation related to alleged horse-trading of MLAs.
In 2016, a sting video had come to fore in which Mr. Rawat was allegedly shown negotiating a horse-trading deal with rebel MLAs to bring them back into the Congress fold.
Uttarakhand was under the President’s rule at that time. Earlier, the Uttarakhand High Court had allowed the CBI to register a case against Harish Rawat.
