UNION Home Minister Amit Shah has said, the decision of abrogation of Article 370 and 35 A is a true tribute to over 34 thousand jawans who made the supreme sacrifice for the country.
The Home Minister said, the step was the need of the hour to ensure that there is peace and development in Jammu and Kashmir.
Mr Shah was speaking at the 27th Raising day celebrations of Rapid Action Force (RAF) of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) at Ahmedabad in Gujarat.
The Home Minister expressed confidence in the ability of the security forces to give a befitting reply to anyone who attempts to disturb peace in Kashmir.
On the occasion, Mr Shah also presented gallantry medals to the family members of the jawans who laid down their lives in the line of duty.
