protesters in Britain,on Saturday rallied in cities across the country against Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s controversial move to suspend Parliament weeks before Brexit.

Thousands of protesters have taken to the streets in cities including Manchester, Leeds, York and Belfast.

In London, Whitehall has been brought to a standstill, with demonstrators chanting slogans against Boris Johnson.

The left-wing group Momentum, closely allied with the main opposition Labour Party, called on its supporters to occupy bridges and blockade roads ahead of the protests.

Mr. Johnson, who only came to power a month ago following a Conservative Party leadership election, has promised to lead Britain out of the European Union on 31st of October with or without an agreement with Brussels.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Johnson on Friday warned lawmakers that if they attempt to block or delay Brexit, Europe will be less likely to cut the UK a better deal.
