US President Donald Trump arrived in Vietnam capital Hanoi. Both Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un are now in the capital and are getting set for their much-anticipated meeting on Wednesday.

Trump flew in on Air Force One and landed in Hanoi on Tuesday night. The White House says he will meet with Vietnamese leaders before his face-to-face with Kim on Wednesday evening.

They will then dine with their advisers, including US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Kim’s close aide, Kim Yong Chol.

The rest of the summit itinerary remains unclear, but the two leaders are expected to meet again on Thursday.

Earlier on Tuesday, Kim crossed into Vietnam through the Chinese border after a two-and-a-half day train journey from Pyongyang.

He then traveled to Hanoi by car.

Trump and Kim’s first summit took place last year in Singapore.

Observers say the US is believed to be demanding the North declare all of its nuclear weapons and facilities and allow thorough inspections.

In return, Pyongyang is believed to be seeking economic concessions for scrapping some of its nuclear facilities.
