BHOPAL
A high level team of election commission is on visit to Madhya Pradesh to review election preparation. Chief Election Commissioner O P Rawat with Commissioners Sunil Arora and Ashok Lavasa will be in Indore today on a two-day visit to review the preparations of the assembly elections in state.
The Commission will conduct a meeting of Divisional Commissioner, Inspector General of Police, District Election Officer and Superintendent of Police of 18 districts of Indore, Ujjain and Narmadapuram division from 2 pm.
The Election Commission will also conduct meeting with recognized national political parties at Bhopal on the same day. The Commission will review election preparations in remaining 33 districts on Wednesday.
Meanwhile 415 nomination forms were rejected during the scrutiny yesterday. A total of 4 thousand 157 nomination forms were submitted in the state after the election notification.
The last date of withdrawal of nominations is tomorrow. Polling will be held in Madhya Pradesh on 28 November and the votes will be counted on 11 December.
According to information received from the election commission, maximum 27 numbers of nomination forms were rejected in the Chhindwada while the only one form each was rejected in Umaria,Rajgarh and Ujjain.
