The death toll in a string of explosions in Somalia capital Mogadishu has risen to 53, with over 100 injured. Armed militants had, on Friday, exploded four car bombs outside a hotel in the capital and stormed the building.
After the three explosions in front of the hotel, a fourth blast hit as medics attempted to rescue the injured.
The country’s extremist rebel group, al-Shabab, had claimed responsibility for the attacks. Somali hospital and police sources said, the death toll could rise further as many are critically injured.
