Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Saturday elected its new international President.It elected former Himachal Pradesh governor VS Kokje as its new chief, setting aside Togadia’s aide Raghav Reddy.
On Sunday, Pravin Togadia targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
According to the report published in India Today, Togadia said that he is not in VHP now, however, he will work for Hindus’ welfare. He also disclosed that he will start indefinite fast in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. To discuss his fast program, Togadia met VHP functionaries in Gujarat.
Speaking to newsmen, he claimed that many Hindus were killed in police firing during Gujarat riots. He also claimed that thousands of Hindus were booked.
Talking about Gaurakshaks, Togadia said that 11 persons were given life imprisonment after PM Modi termed “Gaurakshaks” as “Gundas”.
Commenting on government’s step to withdrawn cases against stone pelters in Kashmir, Togadia said he was shocked.
Giving the details of his proposed indefinite hunger strike, Togadia said that it is meant for Hindus’ welfare, construction of Ram Temple, ban on cow slaughter, Common Civil Code and Kashmiri Hindus.
Meanwhile, Gujarat VHP Chief, Ranchod Bharwad was reluctant to reply on Togadia’s hunger strike.
