Visiting Nepalese Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Friday evening called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his official residence at Lok Kalyan Marg here.

Mr. Oli and Mr. Modi will hold delegations level talks at Hyderabad House on Saturday. Earlier in the day, Mr. Oli met a delegation of top Congress leaders.

Mr. Oli met Congress President Rahul Gandhi, former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and former Union Minister Anand Sharma.
Nepalese Foreign Ministry tweeted: “Delegation of Indian National Congress led by party President Hon. Mr Rahul Gandhi called on the Hon Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today. Delegation included former Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh.”

Shortly after he landed in New Delhi on Friday, Oli held an interaction with Indian business community and called on Indian investors to invest in Nepal assuring of security and favourable environment for investment.

Though Oli wanted to meet Rahul Gandhi to send the message of meeting the opposition leader, he met Sarad Yadav first as he reached at Rastrapati Bhawan before Gandhi.

After holding discussions with senior leader Sharad Yadav and opposition party leader Rahul Gandhi and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, he met former IPS office and Utter Pradesh and Director of Intelligence Bureau Mathur.

Expressing his hopes that the new government in Nepal would maintain political stability and take the nation on the path of development, leader Gandhi said there are experienced politicians and praised the older generation.

Saying that he had heard about Nepal from his childhood, Gandhi conveyed his intimacy with Nepal.

The Indian congress leader also said India wants political stability and development in Nepal. He made it clear that India will always give priority to its neighbours, some members of PM’s Oli’s delegation said.

On the occasion, PM Oli clarified that Nepal will move ahead by maintaining good relations with its neighbours.
