“will continue hunger strike despite fall in health”

Anna_HazareAnna Hazare on Saturday said that despite the deterioration inhis health, he would continue with his protest. Anna is on hunger strike against non appointment of Lokpal and on the issue of farmers’ distress.

“Today, is the second day. My BP has gone down, doctor advised me to speak less. But it doesn’t matter to me,” the social activist , who kicked off his indefinite hunger strike at Ramlila Maidan here on Friday, told a TV channel.

Mr Hazare, who sat on hunger strike nearly after seven years, has been stressing on the appointment of Lokpal and Lokayuktas at the Centre and in the states.

He is also stressing on the farmers rights, implementation of Swaminathan Commission and other concerns, such as the minimum support price, loan waivers and others.

On Friday, Mr Hazare kicked off his hunger strike after he paid tribute to father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi at Raj Ghat here.

On the first day, Mr Hazare , targeted the Central Government over the matter of fair price fixation for the farmers produce, and said that the ryots in the country were under distress as they were not getting the right prices.

He said that he would continue this indefinite hunger strike till a concrete plan is in place regarding the concerns.

The Delhi Police has made elaborate security arrangements in view of the movement.
