Four Maoists were killed in a gun-battle with security forces in the tribal Bastar division in Chhattisgarh today. According to official reports the incident took place when a team of District Reserve Group- DRG was on a search operation in Gangaloor area of Bijapur district.
During the search operation Maoists opened fire on security team near Pedda Jojer. Security personnel also retaliated. Bodies of four Maoists along with 4 rifles and some grenades were recovered from the spot.
