Four 4 Army jawans were killed in the ongoing operation in Rajwar area in north Kashmir’s Handwara sector in Kupwara district of Jammu & Kashmir. The encounter between security forces and terrorists broke out late yesterday evening.
An Army spokesman told government media that 4 jawans lost their lives in an encounter with unknown number of terrorists in Hafruda forest area in Handwara sector till now.
Earlier, in another encounter in Lolab area of the same sector, one unidentified terrorist was killed and one AK 47 Rifle was also recovered from the encounter site. The operation to flush out more terrorists in both the areas in Handwara sector is in progress. Details are awaited.
