
The third edition of the Kashi Tamil Sangamam is to be held from the 15th of February. This year’s theme will be ‘Sage Agasthiyar’. The participants will also be experiencing Mahakumbh and a visit to the Ram Mandir at Ayodhya. In connection with this, school students dressed like Sage Agasthiyar participated in a walkathon at Chennai today. The walkathon was organised by the Central Institute of Classical Tamil and SASTRA deemed University. Students of 4th and 5th standard of various schools participated in the Walkathon which began at Hindi Prachar Sabha and concluded at Agathiyar Ashram Temple.
The students were given a publication of Amar Chitra Katha and were served Prasadhams. This year the Central Government has decided to bring around one thousand delegates from Tamilnadu under five categories namely Students, teachers, writers, farmers, and Artisans under the Vishwa Karma Categories. Professionals, small entrepreneurs, Self-help group women, mudra loan beneficiaries, innovators and researchers to the Kashi Tamil Sangamam. The first group will leave for the Sangam on the 13th of February.
