The Milan Welfare Society, Nanded, successfully organised its 24th annual mass marriage ceremony on Sunday at B.K. Function Hall, Noori Chowk. A total of 15 couples were married in a well-coordinated and joyous event held at 10 a.m.
The marriage proceedings, including the nikah and formal consent, were conducted smoothly by Hafiz and Qazi Mohammad Rafiq. Prior to the ceremony, Mufti Syed Shafiuddin Qasmi and Maulana Saad Abdullah addressed the gathering, highlighting the religious significance of marriage, the rights and responsibilities of spouses, and the importance of making الزواج simple and accessible. They also appreciated the consistent efforts of the Milan Welfare Society over the past 24 years and extended their best wishes to the organisers.
The nikah sermon was delivered by Maulana Tayyab, and the event concluded with a collective prayer led by Maulana Saad Abdullah. A grand meal was arranged for all guests, including the families of the brides and grooms.
The chief guest on the occasion, Maharashtra Congress President Harshvardhan Sapkal, attended the ceremony and congratulated the newlyweds as well as the members of the Milan Welfare Society.
As part of the initiative, the society also provided essential household items to the couples, including beds, mattresses, cupboards, coolers, and other basic necessities.
The successful event was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the society’s office-bearers and members, including President Haji Babukhan Sattar Khan, Haji Mahmood Khan, Mohammad Safdar, Haji Mohsin Chaus, Mohammad Yaqoob, Haji Mohammad Amin, Sheikh Salim, Syed Imran, Sheikh Ahmed, Haji Syed Qayyum Ali, Haji Ghaus Mohiuddin, Sheikh Jaleel, Sheikh Mubeen, Abdul Muqeet, Mohammad Abdul Rasheed, Sheikh Ahmed Chaus, Feroz Bhai, Sheikh Nadeem, Sher Khan, Ayub Khan, Sheikh Shakeel, Basharat Khan, and many other supporters who contributed tirelessly to the event’s success.
