At least ten people were killed and 17 injured in the armed clash Pakistan’s Punjab province on Wednesday.
ACCORDING TO REPORTS the members of one group were returning to their homes after offering Eid prayers when assailants from another group attacked them in Jalalpur Pirwala Tehsil of Multan district.
Police said that the a case was registered against 18 nominated and five unknown persons. The case includes charges pertaining to terrorism and attempted murder.
Police has so far arrested six people in connection to the case.
At the time of funeral prayers, police surrounded the venue and burial of the deceased took place amid strict security.
A number of people from the area attended the funeral prayers.
Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar took notice of the incident and summoned a report on the incident.
Police said that 20 people from Kala Jafar group were coming back after Eid prayers when rival Ghulam Nazuk group members opened fire on them. Seven people from Kala Jafar group while three from Ghulam Nazuk group were killed in the incident.
