In another case, filed by Yeddyurappa to quash chapter 22 of the Lokayuktha report on illegal mining, which indicts him for the offence, the advocate for Yeddyurappa, Ravi B Naik made a submission to withdraw the petition in the High Court today. Justice K L Manjunath and Justice H S Kempanna dismissed the submission as not tenable under the provisions of the Constitution. Subsequently, the original petition and the application were dismissed.
