The wreckage of the Indian Air Force (IAF) Sukhoi fighter jet that went missing on May 23rd has been found today, but there is no word on its two pilots.
The Sukhoi-30MKI fighter jet, which went missing near the China border around 60km north-west of the Tezpur airbase in Assam, was found close to its last known position.
The Sukhoi, was flown by a squadron leader and a flight lieutenant, took off in a two-aircraft formation sortie from the Tezpur airbase at about 10.30am on Tuesday last.
Media reports quoting defence sources said search for flight data recorder and missing crew will be pursued by the ground parties. Search parties of the Army are also attempting to reach the crash site .
