Uttarakhand CMUttarakhand Chief Minister has reacted sharply to BJP’s allegation of financial irregularities of Rs 1509 core released by Centre for disaster relief in the state. He said that he will resign from politics if opposing party produces documentary evidence to substantiate the allegation.

Addressing the press conference in Dehradun, Chief Minister Sated that if BJP produces the document to prove the charges he will resign from the politics. He said that, it is a lie concocted to defame his government. He asked the BJP leadership to apologise to the people of the state for spreading such lies and damaging its reputation.

State BJP President Leader of Opposition in state, Ajay Bhatt had alleged, citing information obtained under Right To Information that over Rs. 1509 core allocated by the Centre to the state government for disaster relief had been illegally siphoned off.

For the last several days the main opposition BJP was making allegation that the state government has no documentary evidence to show how the amount released by central government under disaster relief was spent. The BJP also met Governor in this regard and asked to hold CBI inquiry into the matter.
